This page provides important information on how to properly separate and dispose of household garbage and recyclables in Aizu-Wakamatsu City. Please be sure to separate your waste correctly into categories such as burnable garbage, non-burnable garbage, oversized garbage, and recyclables, and put it out at the designated collection area by 8:30 a.m. on the collection day. We ask for your cooperation in following the rules to help keep our city clean, safe, and environmentally friendly.

New Household Garbage Disposal System and Guidebook Available (from April 2026)

From April 1, 2026, household garbage disposal will be charged and the disposal methods will change.

The "Household Garbage Disposal Fee Guidebook" (available in English, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese) explains both the new fees and the updated procedures for sorting and disposing of garbage.
